FAQS

What training do the staff have?

All of our team members have trained as phlebotomists, and have practiced for at least three years. They have then undertaken further training to take samples from children at Hillingdon hospital.

Do I need to use emla cream?

Yes. Spread thickly on the inside of both elbows and cover with a dressing or cling film. This numbs the area to make it more comfortable for your child.

Will the test leave a bruise?

Possibly, this is a side effect of blood tests at times.
