Primary Care Surge Response Service

SDUC Condition Inclusions (not exhaustive):

  • Patients that require an urgent appointment of between 2-6 hours from request.
  • All age groups.
  • Registered with a Hillingdon Practice

Exclusions (not exhaustive):

  • Gp Routine Appointments 
  • Emergency Care for the ‘5 plus 1 condition’s (Cardiac chest pain, acute shortness of breath, possible strokes, head injury with loss of consciousness, severe abdominal pain and all severely ill children)
  • Trauma, except minor sprains and pains.
  • Severe and complex mental health illness
  • Non-Hillingdon Patients 

FAQS

Who can book into the service? Hillingdon GP Practices, UTC and 111 can book patients into the service.

What type of appointments will be available? A combination of both face-to-face & virtual/telephone appointments will be available to book.

How long will appointments be? Virtual/telephone and face-to-face appointments will have a duration of 10 minutes.

How are appointments booked and by whom? The Same Day Urgent appointments are allocated to general practices in Hillingdon. These will be visible and directly bookable by general practice clinicians and administrators using cross organsiational booking.
